Hey, you forgot something

The woman above finished her sushi and put the container under her seat.

She gets up to leave at Ajax (that's the blur of her coat).

I guess it's just too hard, isn't it? I threw it out for her.

  1. So? Who cares? GO pays people to clean the trains. Maybe if they installed garabage cans that can hold more than a fork, people would be more motivated to throw stuff out. Not really her problem, or yours for that matter - so who cares?! I pay my fare to fund the salaries of janitors so giddy up. Don't sell food at Union and make it illegal to eat on the train and you won't have something to bitch over.

  2. I agree the garbage cans are too small.

I believe in good manners and accountability. When I get on the train, I respect that it was clean when I got on and try to leave my "space" the way I found it.

Maybe that's not your cup of tea and someone else's garbage isn't your problem but I don't like to look at it and I'm sure the people boarding don't want to look at it either.

  3. Small garbage cans are no excuse. There are garbage cans on the platform at Ajax. This is just laziness.

I don't like looking at someone's garbage either.

  6. If everyone took that attitude, the floors would be littered with trash and smelly plastic containers.

Not to mention the safety hazard created with empty bottles and cans rolling around on the floor waiting for someone to slip on, never mind discarded newspapers.

I thought adults took the GO train. Grow up people, take your crap with you when you leave the train.

  8. that is pure laziness.
however, if you had time to take the pictures, why didnt you take the time to remind her that she left her garbage behind. I do that all the time "excuse me, you forgot your coffee cup that you placed under your seat!" 9 times out of 10 they pick it up when confronted that they are LITTERBUGS!

  10. I have to admit I would have left it, and not said anything, It's none of my busisness IMO but I wouldn't do it either. I've picked up lint that fell out of my pocket for god's sake. If it doesnt fit inthe garbage it comes off with me and I throw it out later.

  11. @Donna

I guess because not everyone is up for a fight. You never know how the other person is going to react and if Elizabeth is anything like me, she just wants to get home without drama.
