Too bad his other "bag" didn't get stuck

Dear CJ,

Sorry, I don't recall what the station this was - I'm thinking Maple or Rutherford, but not certain... As the CSA did his "please stand clear of the doors" line, I saw two people running to get on. The first person did, but the door closed before the second person could jump on. But never fear! The guy stuck his bag between the doors, preventing them from closing all the way. Then he got all physical, pushing the doors back open. However, he didn't get on right away. He waited for two OTHER people to finish their dash for the train, who then ducked under his arm to board before he got on himself.

The CSA made an announcement denouncing that kind of action. I secretly hoped that something delicate in his bag got crushed (or a slow seep from a cracked water bottle that dripped into something electronic he may have been carrying).

Does that make me a bad person?
Yes, but at least you'll be my BFF where we're going.

  1. ugh, people do this on tbe TTC too. Bombardier needs to add razors to the doors of their rail coacbes.

  2. I heard that yesterday morning and was secretly hoping that some asshat fot his body crushed in the doors. I agree with Anon - put some razor blades on those bad boy doors.

Another thing I've noticed on the Barrie line - at some stations, they'll wait perhaps all of 2 seconds before they slam the doors. At Maple or Rutherford, might as well put the train in park and wait for the last donkey to come sprinting from the last row in the parking lot.

I was trying to take a picture last night of some dumb broad who wouldn't move her f'n bag, I literally had to lift my leg up and over her f'n crap. So...I kicked it. She had the whole space under her seat to use but I guess that wasn't good enough to her standards. I couldn't remember how to take a picture without the flash noise.....Something like dial your voicemail and then activate the camera? Please refresh my memory please and thanks, much appreciated.

    Have a great day all.

  3. On London subway trains, if something's stuck in the door, they automatically open slightly (like four inches) and then close again. It lets you retrieve stuck bags etc., but prevents people inserting themselves.

  4. On a blackberry, call your voicemail. Then press your camera button on the side of your phone. When the message asks you if you want to stay connected to voicemail but switch to camera, say yes. Take the picture. You've got about 8 seconds before the voicemail kicks you out.

  5. Perfect, thanks Tom. I didn't want to fart around with it too much at the risk of the shutter noise going off. Many thanks :)
