There was tons of parking available at Oshawa this morning but this person preferred the raised curb. GO, please unleash the hounds and ticket this jerk.

But I'm sure this person had a REALLY REALLY REALLY good reason so it's okay. Like maybe it was starting to rain and they forgot their umbrella or maybe they got new shoes that hurt their feet so they didn't wanna walk too far. :-)
Or maybe it's to justify driving a big ass 4x4. Look how easily it mounts 2" curbs! It'll probably drive through a big dirty puddle on the way out...just because it can.
The other day a CSA read an annoucement on my train that started "We here at GO Transit take your safety seriously". I was about to tune out the rest thinking it was about standing well back of the yellow platform lines. To my surprise, it was about parking! The CSA asked that people only park in designated spots and something about not preventing other people from accessing their vehicles. It's like they've been reading this blog! Now if they'd only follow up with some tickets and public shaming.
Not to try and justify an obviously stupid parking situation, but ever since school started back up it's impossible to get a parking spot at Oshawa anytime after 8:15am or so. You're forced to drive to Whitby. I'm guessing this person couldn't illegally park at the end of a row since all of those illegal spots were taken, so they did the next best illegal thing. Likely that person had to spend the night in the city and left their car in the lot.
I snapped this photo at 7:30 am this morning. I wrote there were plenty of spaces available near where this person had parked.
I know for a fact this SUV was parked there sometime this morning because I rode the 6:43 pm train last night and did not see this SUV in that spot so it wasn't a necessary evil. It was pure laziness. Even if this person showed up at 1am, the lot was wide open.
When I rolled into Oshawa tonight, the SUV was still there. No ticket. I'm sorry, I don't care who you are, you park in a spot - not where you feel like. But monkey see-monkey do. This island idiot found some friends.

or maybe their baby threw up on them!

Where's Wile E Coyote and his giant ACME anvil?
How many GO patrons do you think it would take to tip it?
Oh man. One can dream.
But I'm not one to riot.
Oooh I see a new logo coming: the Hulk tipping a parking donkey's car.
Yes! Yessssss!
Totally gonna do it.

I bet they didn't get a ticket for that, though.

This driver's a douche. No question.
Love the new Hulk-tipping-ill-parked-car icon.
