Well I'm using a number I see on a website. I lost my mother's Cartier watch and she doesnt know I took it and I was on the train that comes from Clarkson this morning and I noticed it missing when I was coming down the stairs and when I ran back up to the car I was on the doors were closed and the train was out of service. Please I'm desperate. It's got a red stap and a gold face and it cost like a lot of money and it was like a gift from one her bosses and she doesn't know I took...

I was googling lost and found for GO trains on my iPhone and I got a message center where people said they lost stuff and used the number I saw.

I'm not wasting anymore time on this. I have to call go because I have a train to stop not that you care and I need to go look up the number now. Bye.

  1. And that's when reality reared up and kicked the entitled little princess's ass hard. Schadenfreude is an awful thing, but I relish the thought of her mother freaking out on her.

Love how she said it was all your fault. Wonder how she described you to her mom, CJ?

  2. According to my site logs for that day she googled "lost something on go train". She ignored the first 3 hits (very odd) and zeroed in on Hit #6 -> http://www.thiscrazytrain.com/2010/10/lost-found.html

Then she clicked "lost and found" in the footer tags and went to -> http://www.thiscrazytrain.com/search/label/lost%20and%20found

That's a lot of jumps and makes you wonder how she ever managed to figure out a train schedule without her head exploding

  3. I actually felt sorry for her. She wasn't really listening to you. You should have just phoned her instead of messing with her head.

  4. Hi Allison
    Really?
She googled for help. She ignored the first three hits that were plain as day to me that were best fitted to help her. She made two jumps throughout my site before texting me.
It is so painfully obvious that this site isn't a lost and found forum for GO. She couldn't even grasp that when I asked her to describe what she found.
I am not, hell to the no, about to start phoning people who can't read.

  5. But you put yourself out there. Right?
So you have to have some accountability especially if you've tagged content as "lost and found".
Maybe you're a rocket scientist but there are people who come by life honestly and I think you were too hard on the girl.

  6. The hell you talkin' about, girl?
Honestly ... ? Come by life honestly?
She stole her mother's watch and lost it. Yeah, salt of the earth right there.

  7. @Alison

Seriously?! CJ runs a blog (an amusing one, at that) about commuting on the GO and she is expected to be somehow accountable for someone not reading the site?

Oh right - it's all CJ's fault. Nothing to do with Sydney whatsoever.

I mean, honestly. You don't even have to really "read" the site to get that it's not an official GO website. It is laughable, which I believe is the point being made here.

  8. Kathy,
CJ, who fancies herself a comedian and I concur, she is funny, needs to know when to draw the line as most respectable comics do. I don't think she's entitled to poke fun at people who innocently contact her looking for assistance. Say a person was being attacked on a train and they thought her mobile number was a link to GO Transit. Would that text exchange be funny?

  9. Allison,
Now you're just pissing me off.
    Let's be logical here.
If, for whatever reason, I got a text message from someone who at anytime felt their safety was at stake on a GO train, the first thing I would do is encourage them to call 911.
Of course, I would question why they would be sending random text messages instead of calling 911 but I would not use that for fodder.
You're totally reading too much into these text exchanges.
    Go to bed.

  10. Why do people always have to wade in on here and ruin the comedy?
Calling 911 on a train would be useless.
Pressing the emergency strip would be the most logical response.
If a person were to start Googling: "help for being harrassed on GO train", I would seriously question whether they should even be allowed to leave the house let alone ride public transit.

  11. She's like Gene Wilder in The Silver Streak. She has a train to stop, but instead of an attractive young lady who's life is in danger it's a lost watch!

Googling "GO Lost and Found" will bring you to their FAQ page with a section on it telling you exactly what to do if you've lost something on the GO. I'm sure the GO employees reading this are all nodding in agreement.

Someone who tags content as, let's say, "Ticketed by GO transit", isn't "accountable" if someone's car gets a ticket, and isn't responsible for connecting every inquiry about a ticket to GO Transit. CJ's not paid by GO to do that. People need to READ things instead of ASSUME.

  12. A Cartier watch, eh? She may as well fess up & call her insurer.

  13. To wade into this mess for a moment: Allison, you needed to go to bed an hour before you started commenting. You completely missed the times when CJ TOLD the princess that she was not the person to contact and gave her the correct information.

In other news: wow, the sense of entitlement that the Princess is demonstrating!

  14. Dear Allison,
You may not want to know this but you're a hypocrite.
Based on the context of your opinion, Ms. Smith was also accountabe to Super-Douche (SD) noted in text exchange called Fail of the Super-Douche, which was published before this story.
Recall that SD asked Ms. Smith pointed questions insinuating a need to fulfil a sexual desire.
Following your logic, she was accountable to SD to join him in his bed.
This is a website designed to poke fun at the social ineptness of people who commute on a commuter train. It doesn't apply to GO Transit per say, as that's merely a relatable aspect seeing as it's the author's choice of public transit.
Therefore, until the day that Ms. Smith is contractually obligated to provide customer service on behalf of GO Transit, she's not obligated to do anything to help those who choose to contact you.
    The defense rests. Nothing further.

    ReplyDelete
  15. May I approach? I meant, not obligated to help those who choose to contact HER.

  16. CJ please ignore Alison the new Super Douche! I love the text exchanges - and that was AWESOME!

And by the way I think you did a wicked job trying to help her when you observed that this lass was clearly losing it, (see your third text your honour as Exhibit A - which btw I don't think this women saw as she kept typing her thought afterwards). Now I kinda understand why you may not want to post these....but please do anyway....think of us little people whose boring, dreary lives you brighten with these little scraps of humour!

  19. this is just sad.

I actually felt that this is one of the most serious conversations CJ has ever had with a texter. She told Sydney that she has the wrong person. end of story.
