GO driver helps disabled motorist escape car fire

I'm sure GO Transit won't mind if I borrow this photo of Nick Stojanovic.

The Mississauga native was behind the wheel of a GO bus last Friday, making the run on his Hamilton-QEW route, when he saw a car on fire near Park Lawn, in Toronto's west end.

Nick tells the Spectator newspaper:
“I saw a car on fire, traffic was moving really, really slow. I saw people passing by this car. I saw a man lying next to the car and nobody was coming out to help him. He was outside of his car trying to get onto his wheelchair.”

    Really? And no one bitched that he should leave this kind of rescue to the pros? That people were late for dinner? Wow. There is hope for humanity!

    Sounds like the "pros" were called and the bus went on it's way. The same thing should happen with the trains but it seems to take forever and people get upset, rightfully so.
    For all we know, someone had already called 911 from their car but I still think this driver is great and deserves the recognition! I can't believe no one else had stopped.
