Happy Anniversary to me

This is where I'll be Thursday to Sunday. We've rented this right-on-the-water chalet in Muskoka. With a hot tub. With a wall to ceiling stone fireplace. With a speedboat.

I guess my husband has to come, too. It's only been 10 years.

I'll post photos of the sunset, if we get one. The weather might be crappy. All the more reason to use the fireplace and celebrate wine o'clock!

As you can tell, this was post-dated. But I am excited to go. We snapped this up for a great deal and I am really looking forward to it. :)

  6. I know the owners, which helps. So we just have to cover housekeeping and contribute towards hydro. A great deal!

    Thanks guys.

  8. It pays to have your husband be the Equipment Manager at a tony golf club.

  9. Congrats! Now the real question....do you need to bring the kids?

My wife recently had her 40th bday and wanted to bring our 3 boys along for the weekend getaway we planned. I suggested that it would be a huge mistake.....

sadly it was. Now planning 40th bday weekend - take 2.

    Have fun!

  13. @squiggles

If that's what you call a cabin, hate to see what you call a chalet.

Sorry, spent a lot of time out west where cottages (big and small) are referred to as Cabins.

In my dreams though, a chalet would be closer to a Castle. With a maid service.

  15. Of course! They shall all be named Jeeves. And deliver only the good mail on silver salvers with the morning coffee and a freshly ironed newspaper.

Or I have gone insane from work. Either option is good.

  16. Th weather is crappy with rain and some wind but I've got the hot tub up to temperature and I'm waiting for hubby to get back in from choppin' wood. Yes, we're roughin' it.
