Time constraint difficulties, please stand by

I have so much content that I need to get onto this site, so please be patient.

I've been swamped with work and other personal matters and I know most of you look forward to what craziness the GO public have produced and what craziness the texting public have provided and you know I'm gonna deliver. Because I always deliver, just not in the past three days.

I spent my whole weekend with my kid (a rarity) so I have no regrets that "I haven't brought the funny" and "only wrote about strike bullshit". Email me that one more time, I dare you.

I won't have time tonight because I'll be at the Mumford & Sons concert but I hope that tomorrow night I can sit down at my PC and fill the blog with all kinds of hilarious stupidity that will push it forward to the weekend.

Sit tight. I know lunch hours are sucking. Hey, I'm a legend in my own mind. I truly believe that thousands of you do spend your lunch hours refreshing for crazy. Oh, wait, sorry, that's just my multiple personalities who do that.

Jesus, you'd think I get paid for this considering I felt compelled to justify the suck.

  1. Mumford & Sons??? And Kenny Chesney and Prince??? What a wide range of musical tastes. You and I would get along just great in the real world!

  3. As a personality, that is exactly what I do at lunch. Sit around refreshing the site. Well, not today. Off to lunch!

I also check it out mid-morning and mid-afternoon just to clear out the cobwebs.

Yay Mumford & Sons. I was listening to Sigh No More on the Train this morning! To drown out the loud talkers behind me. Silly delays.

  4. My heavens there's no need to justify anything. CJ does a wonderful job of bringing the funny (and keeping us posted about the strike). She deserves to spend time on whatever she wants, and not hear whinging about it.

I shake my virtual fist at anyone who would make such complaints. Ingrates!

ps - Mumford & Sons is great but after having seen them in a small venue (Lee's Palace) last year, I can't bear to watch them at the ACC

  5. Ohhh Kathy, I'm so with you. So much better to see ANYONE at a small venue. Can't stand it when a band gets "big" and they abandon the club-type places.

  6. @DF ... one more time ... one more.

  7. I wouldn't say fans are complaining but they do worry if they sense the site is heading towards Stale Station or god forbid, I've decided to quit this bitch.

Rest assured, I'm driving this train for as long as I can.

I think it's sweet when people write me to find out or text me to say hi and ask if I'm ok. Shows you people care.

  8. @lswgirl

I like all kinds of music. I don't get people who box themselves into one genre.

You should see my autographed Stompin' Tom Connors swag. Love that man.

  9. ps. I love small venues (like Massey Hall) as well.

  10. Massey Hall is great but I'm talking even smaller like the Mod Club and the Opera House. Anything with great atmosphere! Couple of years ago I went to see the Black Crowes record at the studio on Levon Helm's farm, just me and 200 others, amazing!
