Woman’s use of TTC Request Stop program denied
CityNews.ca
Heather Hobbs told CityNews she was going home on a TTC bus on Halloween night, and requested the bus driver let her off between stops, which is allowed under the Request Stop program.

Stupid rule alert! Stupid rule alert!
There was something similar a couple of weeks ago in the Sun. Same issue. One woman requested the stop. A second tried to disembarque (the proper word. No such thing as de-bus and de-train) and was told they were not allowed to.
The policy in place states that 2 people can't disembarque at the same place. This stops some scary predator from doing more harm. What the policy doesn't distinguish is the difference between the above scenario and 2 random women from getting off and heading in different directions home. But then again, women can be predators just as often as men. It is just not publicized as much.
Two words.

:| Strange rule. What if two girls who are friends are getting off to go to the same place? Or two girls that are sisters and are going home?
or a brother and a sister?
I understand the rule, BUT like anything else there needs to be exceptions and common sense!!!
Thanks Ted! The face of evil isn't always what you think. I have ALWAYS believed that she was killer. Paul Bernardo can rot in jail forever but NOBODY died until he hooked up with Karla.
The policy is only for lone women. If you are travelling with a family member or friend, you are not deemed to be alone, therefore you cannot take advantage of this policy.
