Holy moses. Loads of people are googling the link shown in the email below. Either these people don't realize they willingly set themselves up for GO news alerts, they don't trust "the man", they just refuse to believe the "reward" is real, or they think it's a virus.
"GO Transit" (alerts@enews-gotransit.com)
GO Transit wants to learn more about how you use our train service. We are conducting a survey to better understand your transit needs. Please take a few minutes to complete this survey. Completing the survey by December 21 will enter you in a contest for a chance to win one of ten $250 GO Transit fare vouchers! Please visit www.enews.gorailsurvey.com to take the surveyWhat? Me? Turn down free fare? Never.
I must warn you, the questions almost make you want to lie.
This one below, is specifically dangerous. If this survey were paper-based, there'd be a big arrow with the words "Turn over for more" scrawled underneath.
No wonder people get confused. You say GO isn't paying you to advertise but you still put links to surveys and the Facebook group. It doesn't make sense! Why do it by your own free will?
ReplyDeleteOh hell, a chance at $250 in GO money . . . I'll do it!!!
ReplyDeleteI swear... one of these days ...
ReplyDeleteYou know what? Just for that, Imma tweet this.
ReplyDeleteDone!!!
ReplyDeleteAnonymous has it right. CJ is part of the military-industiral complex! Man the barricades, hoist the red flag! FREEDOM!!!!!
ReplyDeleteI did the survey. And the dangerous part definitely got an ear-full (is that possible?)
ReplyDeleteI mentioned the gong-show yesterday with no annoucements as well as how I felt about the people ON THE STAIRS at union, not in uniform, thrusting paper at the passengers with this survey information on it.
I did the survey as well. I'm already on the alerts notifications, what are they gonna do, sign me up again and send them twice? Er, scratch that! *smile*
ReplyDeleteOh man, did I ever unload in my comments! I asked for the moon, practically!
ReplyDeleteAs website geek, I loved how the system map was combined with radio buttons... :-)
ReplyDeleteHmm . . . under disabilities I don't see:
ReplyDelete- Unable to properly park
- I freeze in the door as soon as my foot hits the train carpet
- My feet have bad circulation so I need to keep them elevated, on a seat
- Hearing disabled to the point where I need to blast my music at +100dB
- I'm anti-social, so I make a bunker in a quad using nothing more than my jacket, purse, attaché/briefcase, and any other knick-knacks I might have on hand.
