Old beagle mix on TTC brightened my day
According to the owner, he just turned 13. He was so sweet. Wagged his tail at everyone. All the passengers were smiling, including me. Thanks old beagle mix. You made me feel less angry.

Dogs make everyone smile!
ReplyDeleteAnimals have that calming effect on people.
ReplyDeleteHe looks sweet, now I'm missing my pup and hoping she hasn't pulled down the Christmas tree in her first day unsupervised with the tree up.
ReplyDeleteI rarely take the TTC so I have a question, are dogs allowed on? I assumed it was only guide dogs?
@lswgirl13
ReplyDeleteYes they are. Which can be particularly hilarious when said dog is either smelly, misbehaving or the companion of of mentally ill owner.
This dog was too old to be a problem. His legs shook real bad when he stood up to be petted. Poor old fella. Can't stop thinking about him.
ReplyDeleteAwwwww, I am dreading the older years. Mine is only 22 months old so she has a long ways to go but a few years ago I could watch Marley & Me and have a few sniffs but now if it comes on TV, I have to turn it off otherwise I'm a mess!
ReplyDeleteI have a beagle, Bailey. She is adorable... and unfortunately due to being a rescue, we don't know how old she is.. young enough to chase my poor 14-year-old cat around, old enough to sleep most of the day. I always go up to people and ask if I can "meet" their dog, if it's cute like this one and if the owner looks semi-normal. Animals are the best.
ReplyDelete@lswgirl13: If Marley and Me makes you blubber, then steer clear of Hachi: A Dog's Tale. While it was a wonderful story (and well acted), I bawled through 2/3 of the movie and for a couple of hours afterwards. Just thinking about make me tear up. Dang (need a tissue).
ReplyDeleteThanks for the tip Bicky!
ReplyDeleteLSW - every year I have to put up a "fence" around the Christmas tree. I have 2 Bichons, a 4 and a 3 year old, who like to get into everything, especially the one and then the second just follows suit. It's such a nice looking tree, without the viewing area cordoned off. LOL. I say to my hubby that perhaps in their senior years, only then will then behave well and not try to steal ornaments. lol
ReplyDeletePS Hachi amazing movie but a tear jerker. Loved that one.

Lindsay - I'm absolutely thrilled to announce that the tree was just fine when I got home last night. My pup is just like Mary Poppins, perfect in every way.
ReplyDeleteOh good, at least some of us here have some mature, respectable dogs. Mine, on the other hand, seem to be unruly little kids that like to muck up what Mommy tries to make nice. Oh well, it's good for entertainment, the little bugger. In general, not eating ornaments, that is. :) lol
