OMG! That's a woman and I saw her doing the exact same thing about 2 weeks ago outside of the Yonge/Bloor subway. She stopped me dead in my tracks and my first impulse was to yell at her at say WTF! There's a bathroom in the food court! But then I thought, well, may-be she has a medical condition. After seeing today's picture, I think it's more like a mental health condition. I hope TTC security can catch her and keep her off the trains. What's sadder though, I, along with everyone filing out the doors behind me chose to just look a way in disgust and no-one (me included) asked her if she was sick. Sad sad sad.
I would say it's a safe bet that this lady is mentally ill. Unfortunately the mentally ill are always seen as fair game for these types of comments. That someone would find it appropriate to take this lady's photo, then post it on a public forum, is unfortunate.
