I think it was Tuesday?
At the Oshawa station free Liberte Greek yogurt was handed out - strawberry flavor.
I just opened mine and this stuff tastes amazing. But did anyone read the nutritional info on the side? 21 grams of sugar in a serving! But damn this stuff is good.
So, GO Transit, keep on allowing for this kind of marketing and promotion. Don't be shy to approach the LCBO. You have my blessing.
I think they gave them out at Whitby too but only if you came through the north part of the station, not from the south lot. Alas, I did not receive.
ReplyDeleteI second CJ's suggestion and would gladly support hand-outs from the LCBO. Weekly would be outstanding!
ReplyDeleteThe two most interesting promo’s I’ve ever received:
ReplyDelete1. One evening a few years ago I was getting off the train and as I came up the stairs to head to the parking lot, there were a couple of people handing out free Delissio pizzas. I’m not a big “Tomato and Basil” fan, but hey...free pizza? DON’T MIND IF I DO!
2. Maybe 2 years back I got off the bus in the morning to catch the train, and standing beside the ticket cancelling machine was a guy handing out coupons for a free bottle of wine (a particular kind, and only at the LCBO). Free booze? DON’T MIND IF I DO!
I got the free wine too a while back (2 coupons actually - red and white). Also another time I received a voucher for a free six pack of Molson 67 beer from the beer store.
ReplyDeleteThe free wine was Copper Moon. Very average, but I never turn down a free bottle of red wine.
ReplyDeleteI thought handing out a tub of yogurt in the morning was kinda idiotic. It would have been better to hand it out at the end of the day.
I have to agree because if you didn't have access to a fridge at work ...
ReplyDeletePeeps - it's FREE! take what they give you - beggars can't be choosers.
ReplyDeleteI got the free pizza too - they were handing out only pepperoni ones at the Streestville GO - 3/4 of that station are Muslim...
Ha! Copper Moon, we carried that at the wine shop I used to work at. They made a HUGE deal when it first came out. Just like when they released the 4L cask.
ReplyDeleteI haven't received any awesome things yet. The best so far has been a yo-yo. :(
Whoah ... whoah ...
ReplyDeleteA yo-yo! The hell, Vanessa.
That would make my whole damn day!!! Yo-yo's are a secret love affair of mine. I have about 12.
Then there's my Slinky collection ... all neatly packed into shoeboxes.
LOL! This is true, but I really suck at yo-yo'ing (?). I was kind of hoping it would light up or make crazy sounds, but alas it did not. It was a simple Scotia Bank yo-yo.
