Happens all the time, so this is nothing new. But I will admit, most of the "winners" that park in those spots drive the dinky little cars. Maybe those with bigger/loonger vehicles know they just can't do it?
There is no excusing that parking job but there may some mitigating factors. It looks like the light standard is rooted in that spot and the Acura is parked on/over the line, preventing the Toyota from pulling up next to the light. Still a terrible job, but at least not in an illegal spot.
Actually Shirker, he is parked IN FRONT of the light standard. Also known as his bumper is kissing it.
There are several "spots" like this in the South lot at Ajax. And all of them have people like this parked in them. GO just saved themselves about 4 cents on paint to not square off the spot. Especially when they know people park there all the time.
