That's kinda funny. A good lesson to learn is be sure all your stuff is out of the way before you close the door.
Wow, unless it is a Louis Vuitton or something crazy, get a knife and operate on the bag pronto, as I am sure after a day's work, some kid would have cut the bag and stolen the car for a joy ride!
cant you just feel around and press the button on the fob? If it will work from inside the house it will open the door from inside the purse.
