Bizarre question from the latest GO survey

GO Passenger Survey

One of the questions also asks why any of us take "the GO Express train"?

Who wrote this survey?

This is the worst co-dependent relationship I've ever had. Sure, I mean, he's on time most days when it comes to picking me up for work and bringing me home but I wish he'd call me when he's running late rather than tell me once he arrives why he was late.

He suffers from the worst hot and cold mood swings. He's no fun at parties due to his enormous size. He doesn't drink which makes him boring during weddings. He's not much for conversation. He's obsessive compulsive - going on and on for hours about standing back behind yellow lines. He's got a one track mind where his current thing is talking constantly about some door or platform issue at Ajax. He just doesn't shut up.

I'm the one always spending money. He never buys me anything.

But here's the thing. I need him and he knows it so I guess I'll just continue to take his abuse.

  2. So many of those questions needed an "N/A" option. Really, you (GO) want to know why I won't take the GO Train to the doctor's or to school? When I've already told you I take it to work? Twice?!? Aaggrrhh!

    @Anon, 9:06am - Loved your comment.

  4. I love the questions about how makes you feel. Smart, sophisticated, etc. WTF? What does that even mean.

  5. Thanks for the laugh Anon!!!

Yep, there were some head-shaker questions for sure!!! There was one about what you do on the other train and even though there was a bizillion options, I didn't see the one where I look for yummy men so I put that in "other".

  6. So glad I don't get abused by this survey because I ride only local trains! Just get your "equipment" maintained is all I asked. The westbound LSE arriving at 9:10AM at Union had yet another equipment failure at Guildwood yesterday!

  7. I just emailed you about this very same question!

My burning question: "freinds with benefits" - how???

  8. Personally, I enjoyed the imagination behind the question, I wish that imagination was channeled into creative problem-solving for the service. But my problem is my answer keeps changing...

Now I think the best description is that we're in a loveless marriage, staying together for the sake of the kids, and because we can't bear the prospect of trying to go out and date again at our age. But we're trying to find ways to re-kindle the relationship and communicate better.

Unfortunately, any time that cute carpool flashes her sultry smile my way, I stray easily.

  9. This was not the same company that works with the Let Go Know surveys, and it shows. This survey was very poorly designed, worded, the answers weren't totally inclusive, and the logic didn't follow through. As a market researcher myself, I could only make it 20% through and had to quit from frustration.

  10. I saw that email and because it looks different than any other Go survey email, I assumed it was fake. After reading that question I think maybe I was right!

  11. Easily worst survey ever!

  12. I tried to take it, because it sounded really funny, only to be told that they have feedback from people in my age group. :/ Right. How many under-18s take the GO train, anyway? (Not that I take it with any regularity...)

  13. My Market Research professor would have given me a solid "F" for writing that survey.

Seriously...have the writers ever even picked up a market research book????

  14. At the end, and yes I made it to the end after a large beer, they wanted additional comments I said "Get WIFI on train cars, don't sell food on train and put up "No feet on seats" signage. Last night girl was on train with tons of food container trash around her. No way these juvies get to buy food on train and not put trash in containers. Oh and I did say put a Timmies in every station building.

  15. I went with 'prostitution' for relationship type. You pay, then you get off.

  16. In every box that asked me to "explain" I kept criticizing the survey and then at the end said "Perhaps you should pick a new Survey Company to create a survey that makes sense".
