Speaking of global water crisis
A couple of posts ago I confronted a hater and suggested this person do her part to solve the global water crisis by keeping her feet on the seats of GO trains.
Today is World Water Day. I know that somewhere on Facebook, people are working to solve this crisis by posting status updates from the comfort of their homes or offices while having returned from Starbucks after purchasing a $600 cup of coffee and lamenting about those poor people in Uganda who don't have any water to drink and wondering why more can't be done.
Anyhoo ... This is actually a cause that is near and dear to my heart so when you have a moment, please visit drop4drop.org and consider a small donation.
And yes, I did email Franca suggesting she check it out. I will post her reply if I get one.

I laughed so hard at this.
L laughed so hard because it's true. About what you said about Facebook status update advocacy. So true.
I'd donate but I spent all my money at Starbucks.
Fred!
Good one.
I don't quite understand the somewhat recent phenomenon of "raising awareness" - as though posting status updates on facebook will solve the problem, or will somehow get other people to solve the problem for you.
Exactly Zjack! It's like all the Kony 2012 social media supporters. So they support something for the second it takes to post it on FB or Twitter or whatever and then they go on about their daily routine.
Sad thing is I'm drinking a bottle of water right now.
Just like martin short in the three amigos I just dumped a bottle of water on the floor.
"Slacktivism".
