It was commuter chaos.
The expression on the face of this elderly gent pretty much summed up how most people felt about the situation.
It truly was a magnificent display of fuckery. Kudos to everyone who dreamed up this mess. It truly was the song of your people.

Thanks for reminding me why I like being an above-grounder even in crappy weather.
Oooh, so glad I come in early. The doors were fine just before 7am. Probably will be a clusterf*** of chaos this afternoon tho'. *sigh*
I do believe it will get much worse as the construction progresses this year.
Why was it closed though?
Open now. Believe it was closed because they just had flat pieces of metal covering the hole they created. When it snowed the metal they had covering it got super slippery. Just a lawsuit waiting to happen. When I went by tonight they had metal slabs with a bit of a texture on it and the doors were open.
It was a dream commute for me. I tend to exit Union station on Front street and enter to Subway by the sidewalk near Bay, skipping the ridiculous lemmings march. Today it was empty on the sidewalk entrance, making for a quick stress free commute.
So much for planning for winter!!!
wheelchair users arent affected, if one uses track 12 elevator, to VIA, go UP the concourse, to great hall, then out doors in far northwest corner, makes a quick shot out to University, then 4 blocks to King, theres a brand new elevator there to St Andrew station.. bypassing the lemmings altogether... no queen station to deal with, no having rich bay st ego tripper's staring at you, nope just a nice ride to a nice bright new way of travel, oh & the joy of ACTUALLY GETTING ON THE TRAIN SAFELY!!
