Follow Balm Beach Road right to the end. There's public parking and you can walk the beach for miles. It's a one and half hour drive, give or take, from Jane Street and Highway 401.
Balm Beach is Wasaga beach without all the weekend morons, drinkers and partyers. A nice (at least it was) family oriented area much quieter and less policed than most other beaches in the area.
My kids are all grown up now and go there themselves. It has always amazed me how unknown that area is.

It's always good to be busy. Idle dogs are the Devil's plaything.
ReplyDeleteI love that place. Used to bring the kiddies there for day trips all the time.
ReplyDeleteMy previous dog, Olive the golden retriever used to do the same thing. Excavate a huge trench and then lie down in it.
She would guard her hidey hole from intrusion from andy other dogs...
My sister owns a cottage two streets up from the beach. Weather is awesome and the beach is beautiful.
ReplyDeleteThe hole will be cool and shady. Very sensible for a dog to do (especially given dogs can't sweat)
ReplyDeleteWhere is this place? I would love to take my dogs to the beach.
