Donate some change, sign a bus!

As tempted as I was to sign the address of this website next to my name on the bus, I wrote "'Ride This Crazy Bus' - CJ Smith" instead. I can't fame whore. I should learn to.

Parked (and idling *cough*) at the Oshawa GO Station this morning was the GO Transit (of course it had to have METROLINX emblazoned on a window) United Way Campaign Bus. Passengers were invited to sign their name for a donation in Sharpie anywhere on the bus.

One of my favourite drivers was leading the charge. Don't know his name -- he won't tell me -- but he's driver #7967. But screw it, let's call him Randy. And I know he reads this blog but I usually get the drivers to admit they do if I tell them I have a blog when I ask for specific information and I get the "I know who you are" response. Good. Because Randy, I like you, and you should tell me your name in case we cross paths at say, some random Target store, and we strike up a conversation. No way in hell am I going to call you, "Driver #7967".  C'mon...

  5. All of MGTA trqnsit knows of this site. I know a few TTC drivers love it.
(MGTA = Much Greater Toronto Area and in MY bboks, encompasses all cities covered by GO... but is far more reaching... like a 300km radius from Union.)

  6. Terrifying yet cool at the same time.
It's much easier to blog when you blissfully think no one but your mom is reading.
However, the site metrics tell me different.
I have to wonder how much of the number tilts towards transit employees rather than commuters...

  7. I heard two CSA types talking about this site last Friday.

Apparently most of them read it for a good giggle about the stupid customers they despise with a passion.
