Prior to sending my phone in for repair, I was running Ice Cream Sandwich. And for the record, I love Ice Cream sandwiches. When I got my phone back, the O/S had been updated. I now have Jelly Bean. I do not *like* this Jelly Bean!
So I'm putting this out there, anyone ever tried to downgrade their Android O/S to an older version and did you have any issues or success?
Oh, and save your Apple iPhone cult-like, group-hugging. If I wanted one, I'd own one.
Every time someone says, "Get an iPhone", I want to throw a boob punch.

I am still on the fence about whether my next upgrade will be an Iphone 5s or an S4.
I am used to iphone but hate itunes for file transfer.
S4 has bigger screen, expandable memory, when I suffer from a quickly draining battery (as I am now with my 4S)I can just buy a new one and put it in, as opposed to iphone I have to spend 99 bucks and send my phone to apple.
Not sure if I want to get used to a new operating system or not, so I just cant decide what to do.
Itunes is the number one reason why I avoid the iPhone. I do more with my devices than just surf, talk and text. I am a huge mediaphile. The thought of converting anything and not being able to use a phone as an instant storage device would drive me crazy and it does. I laugh when I see iPhone users on the train watching movies on a portable dvd player. Really?! Ugh.
I have actually never had to convert anything I have loaded into my itunes. I must be d'loading in an acceptable format already.
What pissed me off was I tried to load movies and because I didnt have the drive that had my music connected tomy PC at the time, when I synced it, it removed all my music.
Although I have seen apps for the iphone that allow you to transfer direct from your PC to the Iphone over a home network without Itunes.
I upgraded to jelly bean a while ago. I think it's like when Facebook changes you just go with it and eventually you forget it was any other way!
No clue... but my brother has a Note II. I can ask...
Al,
That happened to my husband as well. We learned you can't just plug into any pc and add music where android doesn't care. I'm sure there's hacks for that, I just cant be bothered
... and thanks Bicky
And yes, I am sure I will just get used to it!
Staying up to date, especially with an OS, is immensely important. Be glad you're updated.
Get a BlackBerry Z30.
Re: faster. I find the phone slower
Re: blackberry. If I wanted a blackberry I would have one
It's been a few days and I'm adjusting. Yahoo mail app is slow and buggy though
Why would a an iPhone user on the train watch movies on a DVD player? You can convert them easily to watch on any Apple device, iPhone, iPod Touch, iPad.
I asked my brother about it, but as he's explaining it, I got the feeling it's rather complicated. I can ask him to email me the details. You might be better off to accept Jelly Bean. :o\
Why convert anything in the first place? Download, copy and done! That's how Android works. Blackberry, too. No need for any software. No Sync'ing. No nada.
And yes, Bicky, I am accepting Jelly Bean. I spent three hours this afternoon getting to know this bitch. I think we will work out just fine.
George. We should play Scrabble. ABSOLUTELY.
If you keep using it you'll be fine, and eventually grow to love jelly bean :-) there are definitely some cool features! Glad you finally got your phone back!
iPhones are for brain-dead mouth breathers who feel compelled to purchase the biggest name, not the best product.
