  1. This is why we can't have nice things.

  2. Let these drivers figure it out the hard way.

  3. Way to be on time for your train, crazy driver. Drivers need to slow down in all parking lots. Do you want to get to your destination in one piece or not?

  4. The insanity in the parking lots is incredible. I've witnessed so many near misses, and such incredibly aggressive behaviour. There's no need for it.

  5. Similar thing happened to my Dad at Bramalea GO a few years ago.

He parked his car in the morning and went to work as usual, then later that afternoon my Mom got a call at home from the insurance company about "the incident at the GO Station this morning". It was apparently a rather animated call with my Mom insisting they had the wrong number, while the insurance company insisting that this actually happened. She finally agreed to take a message, and then frantically called my Dad all day and finally got ahold of him. Naturally, he had no idea what she was talking about.

Turns out someone had dropped off a commuter, and was not paying attention turning left out of the kiss-and-ride. Meanwhile, another driver was doing the GO-Lot Indy 500 in from Steeles, racing to find a spot. These two yahoos hit each other, and the Kiss-and-Ride driver inexplicably floored the accelerator after the accident, drove straight forward, OVER the curb and into my Dad's car.

Turns out that one, or both, of the other drivers used the same insurance company that my Dad did, so the insurance company knew about it before he did because they had record of the license plates of all cars involved.

  6. The parking garage at Whitby is nuts. People come screaming around the corners like they're Indy drivers. Newsflash, donkeys, you're not!!

  7. AllanVS, sadly, no. I've been on all the levels too in Whitby and they don't exist.

  8. Slightly off topic, but why does everything require an "lol"?

  9. ^ That... that is an excellent question!

  10. Re: LOL

I think a lot of people either A) forgot what it means or B) never learnt what it means so ends every text message type thought with it.

Either that, or in their minds they are the funniest people on the planet.

  11. Bicky they do this in all of the parking lots in Whitby! from the race off the train I feel like I'm being trampled to the parking lot hussle, I'm actually amazed at how fast people start their engines and leave. I get in my car and before I can start it and get my belt buckled the dude next to me, who got to his car at the same time by the way, is halfway out of the lot! How can people be in that much of a rush?? Not worth a shitty insurance record for me to get home 2 minutes earlier, nope.

  12. I'm told these people are rushing to retrieve children from daycares that close at 6 and to avoid late fees.

  13. you are right CJ, and I get it I too had a kid in daycare up to a year ago. It took me a while to find a daycare that would keep my daughter until 6:15. It just wasn't worth the stress to me trying to mow people down to get out of the GO, except I have to deal with the dildoes that cut me off and almost hit my car on a dailty basis. Can't win!
