Ignorance (It just got real... )

2:30pm - MY COMMENT WAS DELETED. So I went back and kicked it up a notch.

7:30am - ORIGINAL COMMENT

Of course, I'm taking a blind stab at the salary but I'm pretty sure I'm close, give or take five grand.

  1. Oh please, let them reply that it is because not only skipping the fare, they also were cited for the seat hogging displayed in the pic.

  2. I like how Squiggles supports my starting fights on Instagram initiatives in order to bring all the stupid to this "yard" and serve it up milkshakes.

  3. You can make anywhere from $60-$69K a year but it's a job paid hourly so overtime can net more so you were close and that guy who posted that... bet you all the fines in the world he's in the system and probably banned.

  4. Oh I'm pretty sure those comments on that dude's Instagram pic were driven by previous run-ins resulting in butthurt.

  5. I'll wager it was MAJOR butthurt.

Losers like those folks commenting will hate them until they need them. Just like they probably do to anyone with any authority.

  6. love your response lol. I have encountered nothing but nice GO officers. You get what you give in this world!

  7. Every single TSO has been extremely pleasant to me and to any passenger I have seen them interact with - even the belligerent, non-paying jerks.

  8. Oh please, please, please... I hope your milkshakes bring them to the yard!!!

  9. Can someone explain what the problem is here? If the TSO is doing his job then why the photo. If the TSO was beating up an innocent passenger, then the photo is warranted.

  10. There is no problem. This person who took the picture took it to express an ignorant opinion.

  11. That photo is not mine. It belongs to a the named user on that Instagram account. I took issue with it as well

  12. I've never been fined so I don't know what happens but GO has info on their site

  14. I'm not surprised ... which is why I screen grabbed it for posterity.
I'm going to write the comment again. Just for fun.

  15. I'm pretty sure I have seen some of the TSOs on the sunshine list.

  16. only fare dodgers hate the enforcement officers.... pay your fare, you wont have a problem with these guys....simple concept

  17. TSOs make $34-36/hr. They're also sworn in by the OPP. These individuals work insane amounts of OT and do extremely well for themselves. And have an incredible pension plus great benefits.

  18. You can find the salaries (by the hr) online or on any job posting. The above comment is correct give or take a couple hand fulls of pennies.

  19. With these sorts of jobs, you often see comments that (basically) say "that person earns more than me in a job anyone could do! I don't like that!". (People say that about bus drivers in particular)

To which I say: if money is so important to you, change jobs. (... and then you'll discover that the pay reflects the unpleasentness of the job, not just the skill level)

  20. New GO Transit officers have to pass the same physical and have to have almost the same educational credentials as a policeman. If you can't make it as a policeman, you can't make it as a TEO. They are not rent-a cops.

Anyone can do it? That's a laugh.

  21. LOL CJ your 8K comment a year is gold. He probably makes less... dont give him so much credit.

    ReplyDelete
  22. Im sure $36 an hour works out to about 75K a year. And that doesnt include any stat holiday or Overtime. Or so I have heard
