I spoke to his owner yesterday; the kitty's name is McLovin', and he's very well trained. I was concerned to see him on the platform at Yonge & Bloor; I worried that he'd be frightened by the approaching train, but he's used to this kind of travel, jumped up onto his owner's shoulders, and sat on the floor once inside the train.

How is he (to me all cats are boys because all my cats have been boys) not flopping down in protest because of the clothing?
