It belongs at Lost and Found. It should be turned in that's the right thing to do. People need to start putting the shoe on the other foot, instead of thinking what about me and what can, I gain from keeping the money. That could be some seniors or some kids only money.
The 50 I found was on Front Street. Which lost and found? Also, the text wasn't serious and "the right thing" was done. But seriously, jokes about drank is jokes about drank, k?
Anonymous, it's called taking someone's word for it, really if you lost 35 dollars at Union wouldn't you take a chance and go to lost and found and hope that some honest person turned it in. I'm sure the Go Employees would take your word for it that it did belong to you.

The finder should do what s/he feels comfortable doing. Keep it, donate it, buy CJ drinks.
ReplyDeleteI found $20 in the PATH and then felt bad someone lost it. I ended up making a donation to charity.
Yeah, sometimes I'm a softie/sucker.
I found $50 once and bought 4 bottles of wine at the LCBO in Union Station.

ReplyDeleteI say if you see someone just drop (20, 50, 100, etc) return it to them but if you didn't see who dropped it, it's yours to do with what you wish.
ReplyDeleteHow do you prove it's YOUR money you lost if you turn it in to lost and found, anonymous??? LOL Come on now.
ReplyDeleteWhat goes around comes around. One may lose out on their money but they'll gain it back somehow, somewhere. The cycle is inevitable.
