Who is this CSA? He was amazing at how he handled this situation

Published on Jan 7, 2013
This lady waved over another passenger who was looking for a seat on this busy train. After she sat down, the crazy lady began calling her fat and accusing here of invading her space. Thankfully, the train attendant stepped in to help.

Note the part when she says to the CSA, 'Do you see how large she is?"

  1. Wow, very well handled by the CSA. And what a loon she was!

The Emmy, however goes to the other passengers around them for pretending to read and not be hanging on every word of this bizarre dispute!

  2. SO rude!!! omg. No matter your beef, to result to namecalling is terrible.

  3. Any bets she was getting off at Oshawa!!! (sorry couldn't resist, not meant to insult everyone from the Shwa!)

  4. I am pretty confident this was the LSE

  5. He did say next stop is Pickering.

  6. I didn't catch that. You're right. But still incredible how us LSE'rs can call it.

  7. She is a class act and I love the incorrect use of the word "ignorant". Always signals a class act. (in case your readers didn't get it, that was sarcasm).

I was ready to jump through the screen and punch her in the face after about 40 seconds. 3 minutes of that makes this CSA a BLOODY SAINT!

And that is why I am not in customer service.

  10. *groan* She's from Whitby! She mentioned early on in the clip her stop was Whitby. *sigh* She's gonna give us Whitby folks a bad reputation! We're not all like that, honest!!

That CSA did an outstanding job. I would have lost my patience with that woman a whole lot sooner.

  11. This is the very reason why we need CSAs. Great job

  12. No, surprise it wasn't Oshawa, she said she was getting off in Whitby.

  13. Oh my gosh she looks exactly like a woman who panhandles at the foot of the York St. ramp!!
And yes the CSA IS amazing in the patience department!

  14. The CSA handled this very well. But, I am confused. Did the crazy lady wave over the woman she began insulting? Did another woman wave over the woman who was insulted? And if the woman who was insulted bumped crazy lady accidentally, all crazy lady had to do was let her know and ask for an apology not resort to name calling. But she is obviously a little unhinged and probably did not think of this.

  15. omg that was horrible, was she drinking? I think I have seen this woman before too.
No excuse for that behaviour. She's either unstable or drunk or both. Either way she is a disgusting human being.

  16. I was waiting for the applause........

  17. I liked how the gentleman on the left eventually got up and left his seat beside the 'irritated' woman once the fireworks started.

Everyone will watch and even record the altercation, but no one gets involved.

    Way to go CSA.

  18. I don't know his name, but that CSA is really good guy. I've seen him in the accessibility coach a few times, and he's unfailingly kind and patient in his interaction with passengers.

  19. That is Ryan. Ryan is an outstanding guy. Looking at the date of the recording, he must have been filling in for someone as Ryan no longer performs CSA duties so he had to have been filling in for someone.
As for applause, those of you who have been reading this blog for as long as I have should know that if no one can clap for CJ's heroics in dealing with insolent passengers, how can any expect applause for a CSA?

There is at least 1 CSA on every train, who could, effectively handle these type of encounters,

CJ doesn't take the line that I ride on. Though she'd make a kick-ass CSA, in my opinion.

And I'm pretty sure many readers on this blog 'applaud' CJ's efforts regardless.

  21. Without seeing the entire interaction before it was recorded I think it is unfair to assume that no one confronted this lady about her behaviour before the CSA came. Someone set the alarm off, and I'd like to think that someone told her to shut up before she became all sorts of crazy. I applaude people like CJ for speaking up, and I have spoken up when warranted, otherwise bad behaviour goes unchecked. People like this woman need to be put in their place.
