Actually, in a moment of great mental acuity, I tried to open my front door by scanning my Presto card. Took me way too long to figure out I need my keys and not my card.
Do these buttons actually do anything? I know on some trains doors don't open automatically, you have to press something like this, but as far as I know GO Trains always have all of their doors open (on one side) at every stop. Always wondered if they have any use on GO...

They work only when doors are on standby in order to keep heat or AC in the coach while the train idles during boarding or emptying.
