#GOStrike2014 - weekend update
GO has until 11:59 pm on June 1 to strike a deal with ATU 1587. Negotiations continue. As of this writing (10:50 am) ATU 1587 is still in a job action position for Monday. This means absolutely no GO bus service. GO does not have contingency plans for GO bus routes. As for stations, maintenance and ticket sales, GO has a plan to utilize management and non-union staff to provide these services but not at the capacity passengers are used to. It will be a very slimmed down GO Transit come Monday morning if the strike is on.

They will come out in the 11th hour with a contract to vote on. I feel very confident that We will be there for you all and look forward to doing my job. VOTE YELLOW OR GREEN! BLUE will make people have crappy jobs and Red will lie about everything and waste your money! Simple but very true.

Remember, the Union has to give 48 hours' notice of any strike.
I believe they have..hence the 11:59pm deadline
Actually Tom the Union doesn't have to give 48 hours notice. That is for Federal. Go/Metrolinx is Provincial. Which doesn't require notice to be given.
