Nope. That question makes a lot of assumptions. This person could be like me: I don't live in the city, so I GO Train in. Plus, before the crack-isode, I did respect Rob Ford. Now, he is entertainment only.
Mind you, I only support public transportation to a point. I rage inside whenever I am told that I have to pay for TTC improvements. I do not live in Toronto, nor do I use the system, so why am I paying? Especially when the TTC cannot/ will not bring in zone fares. Start having the TTC riders start paying their fare (fair) shares.
I ain't no Ford fan (though he's done more for Toronto's tourism and awareness than the last 10 mayors combined) but what an asinine comment! Can't understand how you can be a transit rider and a Ford supporter? Why, is there a requirement to hold certain views to ride transit? Or maybe, just maybe, the views that people hold of Torontonians (such as Jason) are more accurate than we'd like to believe. Self-righteous, pompous, arrogant smugness is not a pretty combination, especially as you are looking down your nose at others.
Just because you don't like Rob, don't make broad sweeping generalizations about those who do. You might be surprised by a lot of those people, and hopefully a little surprised / disgusted at yourself for holding such closed-minded views. The very closed-mindedness you accuse others of having.
Remember, when you point a finger at others, three more are pointing back at you!
This website is not only read by GO Transit passengers, but also by employees of various transit agencies across Canada and the US, members of the media and enjoys an audience from around the world. Please take that into consideration.

I'm just surprised that he still has a fan left.
ReplyDeleteFord supporters and public transit is an oxymoron
