And really, almost 1000 people were about salt stains? I should make a whole blog about salt stain pics.

People were very intrigued by this story
Post popularity on this website is always a crap shoot but if I tweet a story, the uptick is better, but never by this much. I like to think this post went wild across the emails of Metrolinx employees ... many are cheesed we care so much about their perk. For the record, I don't care that you ride for free. I do care if you are abusing the other free perk.
And really, almost 1000 people were about salt stains? I should make a whole blog about salt stain pics.

There was a bit of watercooler banter about it in my Metrolinx office. Some folks are very angry about her sense of entitlement. Her behaviour is not indicative of Metrolinx employees as a whole. And the 'it was probably one of these head office types' comments were ignorant. Front line GO employees do a great job but we are all on the same team folks.
ReplyDeleteGood to know. I also spoke about it with Metrolinx public relations about it as well.
ReplyDeleteMost of us were pissed about the writer's take on those of us who do work for ML/GO. I have never taken a guest to work. Even if my wife needed to commute downtown, she'd have to get her own PRESTO card and pay her own fare. I wouldn't have her ride for free as a guest. It's not cool and a lot of us were angered about it but that woman DOES NOT REPRESENT me or any of us who work the customer service end.
ReplyDeleteWhen people feel slighted, the negativity comes out.
ReplyDeleteUnrelated to this story....I just noticed the new pic CJ...looking good!
ReplyDeleteThat be my hangry face.
