I don't believe that Metrolinx has any snow plows for its rail line unless they keep one in the fenced off area south of their Barrie storage yard. They rely on the motion and weight of the train to keep the line clear. It seems to work on the lines with 24 hr freight or GO service but if it starts to snow Friday evening and continues for 2 days good luck getting to work on Barrie or Stouffville lines Monday Morning.
This website is not only read by GO Transit passengers, but also by employees of various transit agencies across Canada and the US, members of the media and enjoys an audience from around the world. Please take that into consideration.

Maybe some giant hair dryers just below the lower lights, to blast/blow the snow out of the way.
ReplyDeleteOh you mean the melting ice cubes with hair dryers analogy?
ReplyDelete"Grrrrr ... I'm late ... again!"
ReplyDeleteYes! That seems to be all the budget Metrolinx/GO has for removing snow. ;)

ReplyDeleteMaybe make big flames come shooting out of the hair dryers. If I had any Photoshop skills, I'd send you my idea.
