Have any of you who ride TTC noticed that strollers these days rival the size of a small ATV?
They also take up an incredible amount of floor space. But hey, at least the kids always has a seat.

Have any of you who ride TTC noticed that strollers these days rival the size of a small ATV?

This thing takes 3 seats on the TTC.
ReplyDeleteThe father never bothered moving his butt and let anyone else sit. He sat at the section that has the 3 flip up seats. Rush hour TTC too.
The parents just need to buy themselves a HipHugger.

ReplyDeleteYesterday I was on the TTC bus with not one, not two, but three mammoth strollers. I felt sorry for everyone trying vainly to board.
ReplyDeleteI hate, hate, hate suv size strollers. I don't understand a parents need to take everything they own with them for a day out with their kid but then again I am not a parent. As far as I am concerned an umbrella stroller and a diaper bag should suffice. Also, am I the only one who thinks people with strollers should board last just so people can avoid squeezing past them to board and possibly falling onto them as the bus does tend move whether or not you've made it past the stroller. A kid is not a free pass to go first anywhere.
ReplyDeleteLori, girl, I had an umbrella stroller for Jayde for bus rides. I also carried a back pack. I also boarded last.

I thankfully can just drive my kids to daycare so I don't have to worry about how big my stroller is. But I do take my double BOB on the GO train when we head down to Centre Island for the day in the summer. But we try not to take a rush hour train (or take a late one if necessary - since we are working around afternoon naps too)and I can always fold it up if necessary. I just don't understand the "entitlement" some people have when it comes to their "right" to have "stuff". Be courteous always.

ReplyDeleteEverything everyone else said. Also... this kid can WALK. I was long past a stroller by the time I was that size.
