Mayor of Niagara Falls NY would like GO extended across the border, according to
http://www.niagarathisweek.com/news-story/5464266-a-view-from-the-other-side-of-the-river/.  I once sat for 2.5 hrs on Amtrak's Toronto - Manhattan "Maple Leaf" as it was parked in NF NY for the Immigration officers to do their thing.  (I got asked if I've ever been in prison.  I haven't been.)  Doesn't GO have enough challenges to keeping to its schedule without getting Homeland Security involved?

  1. Maybe the mayor of Niagara Falls NY will get his wish if he told the US CBP to stop using BS excuses to deny innocent travellers from crossing the border which is all too common.

  2. Don't do it, Niagara Falls NY. You don't want GO. It's a traaaaapppp...

Plus, we don't need a diplomatic incident over how sucky our transportation is here ;)

  4. Then they don't allow into NFNY because you "don't have sufficient funds on you" at the time.
And, also, because you're "currently unemployed" or "don't make enough income on" your current job.
Everyone forgets: Customs agents are STILL a form of "police officers".

  5. Speaking of customs officials "using bullshit excuses to deny innocent travelers from crossing the borders" what about the way CANADIAN customs also do the same thing?

  6. Given how easy it is to cross the US-Canada border illegally (see e.g. http://goo.gl/maps/oxFLm ), I'm not sure what the point is in having border controls for regular travelers.

What kind of people do you associate with who are so able to figure out how to buck serious laws and regulations without incident or major consequences?
