What's the name of the chemical that causes the vapor itself to have a colour? And secondly, there are many conflicting reports out there as to whether there are any long-term effects seeing as this is relatively new technology. So I'd rather not be subjected to something that may or may not be harmful to me in close proximity if I breathe it in.

"Secondhand vape" poses no health risk to bystanders; the only one harmed by electronic cigarette use is the person vaping on the electronic device.
