Are you a Bramalea GO bus passenger? Do you recognize this man?

**** UPDATE ****
GO Transit/Metrolinx has assured me they are working with the proper authorities and their Transit Safety Officers on this case. Our safety and comfort remains their number one priority.

This upstanding citizen was filmed pleasuring himself as he rode the 31 GO Bus along Steeles Avenue this past Saturday afternoon. The video gets real disturbing (and very NSFW) as the bus passes Hartford Trail.

It was uploaded to Twitter with nothing left to the imagination later in the day. This morning, it was sent to me as a link in an email. I was walking through the Bay Concourse when I watched it and stopped dead in my tracks when I realized what I was looking at.

I don't know where anything stands except the video (there are two) is still online. I'm not linking it. I can't. If you're resourceful and interested, you can find it.

The person who posted the video wants to be compensated for it, stating in a tweet to GO Transit: "I was very disturbed by what happened & was wondering if there was any way you can accommodate me for my uncomfortable experience..."

Really??? GTFO. So disturbed that he called Peel Regional Police? Contacted GO Transit himself? Called Transit Safety? The video was online for three days and the person did nothing about the incident.

Once you put something out on the Internet, it's out there, Who knows where the video is now as this person tagged a major Toronto news outlet and a viral video website. Anyone with screen recording software can capture the video. It's no longer his (or hers).

The person again tweeted GO Transit, "... and for helping with the investigation & before I take down my video, is there any way you can accommodate me for that?"

How about a big fat NO? How about you think about how other passengers feel, like myself, that you took no action???

A passenger on a bus is sharing his DNA openly on public transit. It's illegal. It's gross. It's wrong.

The videographer doesn't deserve a reward! You should have reported it.

If you recognize this person, contact GO Transit Safety at 1.877.297.0642 or Peel Regional Police at 905.453.3311.

I am also surprised GO Transit hasn't alerted its customers about this incident. That's disgraceful. As passengers, we should be concerned.

Now if you'll excuse me, I'm going to bathe myself in bleach.

  1. It's the police who have to put out the notice.

  2. What do you want thhem to do???? Make wanted posters??

  3. The person who posted this deserves no reward or recognition. They are simply motivated by greed; not by doing the right thing for the benefit of everyone.

I hope someone is able to identify this sexual predator before he becomes more brazen. People who do this sort of thing are often linked to recurring or escalating behaviour. If you know who this is, unlike the videographer, DO THE RIGHT THING!

  4. Found the twitter account by searching GO bus. I couldn't finish the video. It should never had been posted to Twitter. That's disgusting. It should have been sent directly to the police. I can't believe this person is asking GO for a refund.

    NSFW!!!! Is an understatement!!!!!

As a parent whose 15 year old daughter rides go transit to school what's next for this guy?
    Does he assault someone????

Im so angered by this. It must have been a man who filmed it. A woman would have called the police right away or texted someone to call the police like I did when I was on a ttc bus when something similar happened.
    I didn't film it. I got help.

If GO transit compensates the person who didn't report it I'll go fucking nuclear.

I don't think gender played a role in this.
What played a role was a lack of integrity which isn't driven by Chromosomes.

  6. Why the f$ck did this guy not text a friend and ask them to call the police? But he had no trouble filming not just 1 video but 2!!!

In the time he spent being an idiot, the police could have been on their way. And really a photo would have been enough.

Sounds to me like the person enjoyed what he was seeing.

    GROSS!

  7. Text a friend? He had no trouble drawing unwanted attention by using his phone to film it.

    Or post it to Twitter.

This person was looking for viral fame. He doesn't care about anyone else, especially the people sitting in the seats in front of the pervert.

    I just can't ... I'm with Liz. No reward.

  8. People think they can put a price on anything. If you're inconvenienced in any way get a lawyer and sue for millions of dollars.
If he had properly reported it to police, you'd think GO could identify the bus, check which Presto users tapped on that bus and work from there. Might be privacy reasons why you can't but my wife was on a late afternoon Bramalea bus Saturday afternoon so this really ticks me off. I think GO confirmed to you on Twitter that they're reporting it, yes?

I'm not touching this video with a 10,000 foot pole, because I don't think anyone should witness such a thing on video, and especially not live. Had I been in the same situation I would have made a b line for the driver and reported it immediately. The man commiting this act is obviously sick, but the person demanding "compensation" is also unbalanced. I'm sorry when you're traumatized you don't pull out a camera to film it so you can experience it again. Quite honestly two people should face charges in this instance, obviously the guy in the video in question, and not to make light of the situation, but were this the Seinfeld universe the person holding the camera. The Good Samaritan Law - witnessing something wrong happening and doing nothing about it....oh yes and as for filming it and asking to be compensated...add another 10 years to the sentence on general principal of being an idiot.

  11. I cant even think of watching the video, as a multiple rape survivor, I beg anyone who knows this perv to PLEASE REPORT HIM, seriously, I've have some disgusting things be done to me on busy TTC buses, while in my old wheelchair, (rubbing their junk on my shoulder & upper arm) thats one reason why I'm in a much higher & larger wheelchair, also why I hate taking ttc in my area of Scarborough in rush hours.

  12. I also won't be touching this video with any length pole. Or a Uke for that matter.
The respect bar for me as to the general public just got lowered to underground.

  13. I just keep thinking about all the sexually transmitted diseases that are shared with bodily fluid. The video made me want to vomit.

  14. Ugh. Liz, why did you post the link. AND WHY DID I CLICK IT!!!!???

I had sort of envisioned that the guy was rubbing himself through his pants, but no, there's his pink torpedo in all it's glory. Yuck, yuck, yuck.

  15. I'm not going to watch the video (why would I?) but I'm assuming this fine gentleman went, erm - all the way? Yeuk.

I think every woman on the planet has a gross transit perv story. My wife has been jacked off to and groped. There are some real stars out there.

On the subject of profiting from this, I have a copy of the Rob Ford crack video! Will anyone give me 20 dollar? Ten...?

  17. I know smoking remains a big problem. But this is bigger than smoking on the platforms at stations (which it high on my priority list but I know there are physical limitations to how TSOs can be in several places at once).

    ReplyDelete
  18. Just to clarify - not meant as a put down of TSO's, but of policy makers who promise what they aren't prepared to deliver...

  21. "Bathe yourself in bleach"?
That would be more harmful than coming into contact with his DNA.
Antibacterial soap followed by shampoo/bodywash will do the trick just fine.

  22. i have anti-bacterial foam if you are looking for any...

  23. not to say this isn't gross or disturbing but what crime is he guilty of? I don't understand.

    ReplyDelete
  24. Ted,
Under the criminal code, it's "committing an indecent act".

As Canadians, we're protected from the actions of others that could be disturbing, lewd or uncomfortable for others to witness, especially children, who may know what it is that he is doing, and it's fine to do that at home and with a loved one, BUT NOT IN PUBLIC.

The people on the bus did not consent to being witness to this sexual act and that's why it's illegal.
