Man deliberately runs in front of GO bus in Whitby

Durham Region Police say a man jumped in front of a moving GO bus on Glen Hill Drive, just north of Dundas Street East last night.

The 53 year old was taken by air ambulance to a Toronto hospital. Police have invoked the Mental Health act and said the man is in stable condition.

The incident happened at 8 p.m.

Witnesses are asked to call Durham Regional Police Constable Soto at 1-888-579-1520 ext. 1836.

  1. I am glad he is getting help. Here is hoping it is a small step in the right direction.

    And a small, teenie, tiny part of me is thankful this happened at 8pm.
