How's that pedestrian tunnel coming along at Eglinton GO? My roving weekend reporter checks in

subject:Packed train today

So, I took the train in to Toronto today (tickets to Titanic). The train was pretty busy with a lot of Blue Jays fans going in as well. Surprisingly, most were well behaved. And it was too busy for any foot riding.

We had a couple of Transit Safety Officers checking tickets. When the guy came upstairs, the first guy he asked, didn't have a ticket. And from what I could see was refusing to show ID. The TSO called the other TSO over and before I knew it, the three of them were no longer on the train. I think they removed him at Danforth. Best to remove him from a situation that could escalate.

I remembered to take pictures at Eglinton. I'm attaching a few. The ones I took on the way in had a lot of reflection back so I'm not going to bother attaching those. I'm sending the ones I took on the way home. Feel free to use any or all of them, if you think it's blog-worthy. The one with the guys standing on a blue thing I took as the train was moving so it's a little blurry.

AND!! I was surprised at how clean the train still was after a full day of running back and forth. Normally, the train is a pig-sty by late afternoon on the weekend.

  2. Wow. More work and more done than the elevator at Pickering.
