Um..... my email was not sent to you in error
I don't need help as I don't care to hear what a company I pay has to say about what I can and can't do when I am outside. Thanks.

  1. Oh please GO Transit please send the cops! Have them ticket this person for absolutely every infraction.

    And if you don't mind: send them out to Ajax as well. I was almost hit this morning by 2 people speeding through the crosswalk. If I had not stopped, I would be a greasy little smear right now.

  2. Hi Jaysin,
    You may want to read the Metrolinx/Go Transit by-laws so when you are in court fighting your ticket for smoking on THEIR property you can properly plead your case.

    By Law No. 2
    1.1 J: “designated smoking area” means an area designated with a sign and painted markings clearly indicating the area within which smoking is permitted;
    3.24 No person shall litter or deposit any waste on Corporation property
    3.28 No person shall commit an act contrary to public order on Corporation property, including but not limited to:
    (a) urinating or defecating, except in facilities specifically intended for such actions; or
    (b) using profane, insulting or obscene language; or
    (c) behaving in an indecent or offensive manner; or
    (d) fighting; or
    (e) behave in a manner which does or is likely to interfere with the ordinary enjoyment of persons using the transit system.
    3.33 No person shall smoke on Corporation property, except in areas designated as smoking areas.
    3.35 A proper authority may refuse passage on the transit system to;
    (e) a person who fails to comply with the instructions of a proper authority; or
    (f) a person who fails to comply with the provisions of this by-law.
    5. PENALTIES AND ENFORCEMENT
    5.1 Any person who contravenes any provision of this by-law is guilty of an offence and upon conviction is liable to a fine as provided for in the Provincial Offences Act.
    5.2 The provisions of this by-law shall be enforced by an officer as defined in the Metrolinx Act, 2006, S.O. 2006, c. 16 or a police officer as defined in Section 2 of the Police Services Act (Ontario).

    here is some info on The TSOs also because you probably think they are "security guards"
    Officers are authorized to enforce GO Transit By-laws, which govern passenger conduct, fare inspection and use of our facilities. Officers are also authorized to enforce the following statutes: The Criminal Code, Controlled Drugs and Substances Act, Youth Criminal Justice Act, Trespass to Property Act, Liquor License Act, Sections 17, 28, 33 of the Mental Health Act and Safe Streets Act.

    Good luck! You will need it.

    ps- I am a smoker and I actively avoid smoking around others. Smoking is my choice not theirs.

  4. Another self-entitled asshole who thinks the world ends at the extent of their reach.

    Too bad his opinions aren't worth the time spent forming them when it comes to smoking on GO property.

  6. Hey Jason (I refuse to use that asinine spelling!),

    Why do I get the feeling you're one of those 'considerate' smokers who flicks his cigarette butt onto the ground upon completion of your smoke? After all, using your logic, the environment shouldn't be policed. For the record, you're acting like a spoiled, entitled twit.

    Have a nice day!
