  2. As a bus driver we have quite a view and it is unbelievable how many people we see all day using their phone. Great video, I may need to share. Thanks for posting it.

  3. I usually sit up front on the 19 GO Bus at 6:30 every morning - on the QEW entrance to the 403, in the space of two or three minutes, you see at least 3 or 4 people texting or dialling - sometimes even while merging into traffic.
    This is an epidemic.

    1. I think it's more sinister. It's a selfish fix of being addicted to praise and a need for instant gratification. I used to be a militant advocate of driving safety and was part of a federal committee dedicated to transportation safety. I have zero tolerance for driver distractions right down to fiddling with the lid of a coffee cup. We've become a culture of convenience and it's killing us.

  4. I see it every day sadly. I put my phone in my purse whenever I drive with volume off, no distractions. There is no excuse, driving requires full attention.

  5. I'm fortunate that I don't have many friends and don't get any calls
