Why in heaven's name didn't the driver just slow down (or stop!) long enough for the two sides of the bridge to reunite??? I think there was a "Dukes of Hazzard" thing going on in his (dare I say that I can't really see a female doing this) mind that day....
Sure the FIRST driver survived - but I've been watching this for an hour now and there must be at least a few hundred minivans that went in so far - the pile up down there must be tremendous! Why wasn't something DONE!
