Why does anyone need notifications if you're looking at your phone?
In this day and age, with people checking their phones several times in an hour, why do you need sound?
I don't use it. Don't need it. It's annoying. Especially when the person texting is staring at her phone and reading the messages and responding to the messages as they come in.

We adults are regressing. We're like kids always gravitating to the noisiest toy. It's Play Time in the Quiet Zone!
Not nearly as annoying as people that receive the Twitter 'tweet' every 5 damn minutes. Completely unnecessary at 5:54am.
Someone on my morning train has a notification blip that sounds just like a Presto fare checker. Talk about annoying!
