A Durham Region Transit driver is facing two charges after her bus collided with an SUV yesterday on Kingston Road in Pickering.
The bus was westbound on Kingston Road, near White's Road, when the driver rear-ended an SUV. There were 14 passengers on the bus at the time however, no injuries have been reported.
Police found an open bottle of liquor near the driver's seat.
Charged with impaired operation of a motor vehicle and failure to provide a breath sample is Kirsten Hasted, 39 of Coburg.
seriously?! three days after a horrific crash killing 3 kids and their grandfather this asshat DRT driver would drive drunk on the job with a bigger weapon than the suv muzzo was driving......
ReplyDeleteI can't even begin to understand the stupidity behind this. Here's hoping that DRT doesn't allow her back to work after a little substance abuse counseling and a slap on the wrist. She needs to lose her job and realize that you HAVE hit rock bottom when you are drinking while driving a bus and endangering innocent lives.
ReplyDeleteSeems to be happening more and more often.
ReplyDeleteUnfortunately they keep their jobs. Thanks to the Unions.
It'll be too late when they kill an innocent bystander.
Did you see the picture they poated with this?
ReplyDeletePut ANYONE "in charge" and, automatically, they seem to be unconditionally exonerated of all the normal everyday expectations and responsibilities it seems.
