Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ... "out of business" ... like I make any money from this

The whole fine for footriding is big news on the toronto subreddit. This site was mentioned.

People making themselves at home on public transit isn't going to be deterred by a fine. Look at the smoking situation ... and the drinking. And let's not forget parking. But I am flattered people think I'll be put out of business.

Truth be told, if this new bylaw were truly enforced, GO Transit wouldn't need to raise fares and if Metrolinx were to get really serious about the smoking infractions, they could buy a new double decker bus every year just from the revenue the fines would generate.

  1. Ha! If the fine actually worked (and that is a huge IF) even then I couldn't see you put out of business. But I am a little irked about the last idiot who thinks that it is ok to put up their leg. Am I the only one who even in pain, refuses to inconvenience anyone? I don't even stretch my legs out even when my knee is all spasmy.

I am just hoping that when they go around to check fares (never during rush hour, only late evenings and weekends) that they ticket people too.

  2. Oh please. You so do make money in that we'd all be ignorant to think you aren't paid to plug the occasional product from time to time. It's done so subtly you think people don't notice but you can't be doing this for free because that's just stupid and if you are, then you really need a life.

Quit being such an asshole. No one cares about you.

  4. Cool story bro.
I actually think it would be great if I could get paid for product placement or to plug a product, can you provide me with more information how I go about that?
Or, can you show me how you know I do this already because I need to make some calls about where my money is.

  6. You'll have to forgive Anon. His aluminum foil hat is in the shop for re-glazing this week. I'm surprised he's confined the conspiracy to CJ and the advertisers. I thought he'd work the Illuminati in there somewhere.

  9. AHA! Ok, Cindy - now that I know that you're apparently making $, the drinks (which will, of course, be consumer in a licensed establishment and NOT on a GO train) are on you! :-)

  10. I prefer woman who provides necessary service to creepy lady who takes pictures of peoples feet on the seats. And I hope they enforce this, it'd increase revenue, even just a bit.

I actually think it would be great (pardon me while I sip my Coke®) if I could get paid for product placement (while I type on this Hewlett Packard Desktop ®) or to plug a product (anyone for a get together at the bar for some Manishewitz ®), can you provide me with more information how I go about that?
Or, can you show me how you know I do this already because I need to make some calls about where my money is....
Hope that helps and is not too subtle...

  12. I don't know why some people don't see a person whom is passionate about a hobby as normal. Think of all the amateur marathon runners that are exceptionally talented....they're not good enough for sponsorship or prize purses....but they run like 100 km every week, without being paid to do it. They get the pleasure from the running itself...that's the reward.

  13. Consider it a really small payment in exchange for the pleasure I get from this site. Most welcome....(and we'll keep our mutual affection a secret from our spouse)

It's not nice to mock someone for wearing a Reynolds Wrap Aluminum Foil Hat. Just because you nor anyone in the immediate world that you know or know of has not been abducted by Aliens or Aliens 2 or Aliens 3 does not mean that he hasn't. (The odds of this person being female are slim.) It sounds to me like he has an Excedrin Headache number 3. Though some Harvey's Bristol Irish Creme Sherry might also help it. Now C.J. when you get your payment from these people I expect a shot of Irish Creme or at least a free roll of aluminum foil.
