I know there have been a lot of issues with the presto card but the majority of the comments in the magazine article are fairly positive and that's nice to see. It is funny though how the headline leads off with such a negative light; so typical of media these days. Lets feed the masses doom and gloom to make their sorry lives seem worse than ever.
@TOMW yeah thats always annoyed me, the 1st phase presto machines can with a tiny backlit LCD display (that you can barely read because it goes so fast but thats another story) why cant these show balance and what it deducted since the screen is larger.......
On Friday I was heading downtown from work so I thought I would load my card at Bloor station and head down. The Bloor station Presto machines (plural) were both out of service. So I walked downtown. When I wanted to head home, the Presto machines at Queen and Dundas stations were both out of service. What is going on with this?

They missed one: not seeing how much has been deducted or your remaining balance. You'd think the giant screen would let them show that!
