It's just sickening. Why should Metrolinx care? Just bump up the fares. I'm so happy to know that my $4k per year is helping to line the pockets of corrupt executives.
I feel like the Dowager Countess when she said "Wh what is a 'weekend'" except wha what is a SIX FIGURE bonus? No wonder it was said "it's so hard to get into CN" Probably had to make a blood pact.
Definitely some shady dealings going on. But the thing is: Metrolinx LET it happen. Time and again, in the article, CN charges outrageous sums for fixes (using sub-par materials) and Metrolinx hands over the cash. Why haven't they questioned the work, the over charging, etc?

So once again Metrolinx allows itself to get blatantly ripped off by the private sector and refuses to do anything about it.
