Steven Del Duca, Ontario's minister of transportation, has his riding in Vaughan...me thinks this is why Vaughan is getting their GO station before any new announcement for Courtice. Makes absolutely no sense why Vaughan would have one first other than this very important fact.
I agree with Anonymous above. This was absolutely my first thought when I read about the sudden plan to get moving on a Go station in Vaughan, when the Courtice and Bowmanville stops have been supposedly "in the works" and then "approved" literally for years. The original plan had them both up and running by now. NOT impressed.
