How about the escalators in Aldershot. Platform 2/3 eastside have been out of service for not less than 5 years. They are now stairs...please let us use them...
Seriously, why can't we use them as stairs?
Oh! I know the answer to this... the risers on escalators are not the same height as standard staircases. Therefore there's an increased risk of injury. Can't have people tripping and suing. So therefore, the escalator as stairs remains a no-go.
