It was -39C when this CN conductor rescued this cat from a train back in December

  1. I worked the rail from Biggar to Edmonton back in the 80's. There is no understating how cold it gets out there. It cuts right through you. I used to wear a woolen union suit, two layers of combat pants, a sweat shirt, a sweater, and a lined rubber rain suit, and I'd still be frozen.
    This guy is a hero for just noticing the cat - in weather like that we just wanted to get back in the cabs or hunch over an engine cowling or barrel fire.
