I don't hear the automated announcements all the time anymore. Or maybe I've tuned it out.
ReplyDeleteI'm tired of hearing the UP Express in the Kitchener Train at 5:54AM.
ReplyDeleteWe're aware of the train, trust me! It flies past us EMPTY every morning
They're always more concerned about the issues nobody else cares about...
ReplyDeleteThe automated announcements are fine, but then the CSA repeats what the announcement just said sometimes.
I've long since tuned them out. I prefer the CSA talking.
ReplyDeleteI wonder what sort of new job responsibilities the CSA's have now that they don't spend all their time announcing stops...... /s
ReplyDeleteThey're still responsible for the well-being of passengers, communication, safety monitoring, door operation... so there's that.
ReplyDeleteThey should start playing radio commercials and public service announcements as well.
ReplyDeleteDrive those who are trying to read crazy with "Thinking about pursuing a new career? A degree from F***** College may be the perfect choice for you ..."
Or "Check out our new line of custom T-shirts at ****** ...."
They recently started doing just that on the bus system in Columbus Ohio, and I never get a moments peace on any trip these days. Every time I take the bus I'm always a nervous wreck when I arrive at my destination.
