Yes! And I'm doing it for 2018 Will post and reach out when it's time to register. But I'll be doing a 25. Ain't no way I'm doing 75. The most I can do in one day is 45
I recommend doing the 50km one, that way you get to go up the Don Valley as well. The 75km route is stupid because you just loop around the Don Valley expressway a couple of times to make up the extra distance.
I haven't ridden 50km yet in one shot. I did 43km and could no longer feel my feet... they went numb.
Start weight was 284 lbs and I was as high as 287 lbs just around February.
End weight... right now I am hovering around 265 lbs which was my goal and then to maintain this weight for 3 months before aiming for another 20 pounds by end of March/April.
I am dealing with a very slow burn rate. My metabolism isn't stable and I'm trying to stabilize it.
Trust me, it's an exhilarating experience being in the big crowd of cyclists and riding down the Gardner Expressway. You won't even notice that you've gone 50k. They also have lots of rest stops so you don't have to do it all in one shot.

Congratulations, CJ! I say it every year (I think), but we really should organize a "Crazy Train" team for the Ride for Heart.

Starting weight? End weight?
ReplyDeleteP.S. I'm a bigger guy. I keep telling myself, well shit, if CJ can do it, I can do it.

ReplyDeleteWell done!!! I may be one of your many silent followers but I was cheering loudly when I read this! Keep up the good work.
ReplyDeleteThank you!
ReplyDeleteThe Ride for Heart 50km route is actually closer to 45km. I highly recommend it since going up the DVP is the best part!
