Hi, not sure if I am the only one who finds this ugly and half-assed. This is our tax dollars at work. During some recent renovations you can witness the high quality of work that the contractors GO hires do. The rusty knife was also lying on the base of a lamp post for 2 weeks until somebody took it away.

Hahaha. Love the jagged cuts. You think they could have used something a little nicer. Even a piece of inner tube between the sign and fence. In fact just screwing it to the post would work instead of the hose clamp. I find the quality of work is getting worse and worse.

Looks like someone bracketed a pole to some aluminum rail and used the pvc pipe to prevent the clamp from scratching or damaging the rail.
Aesthetically it looks as amateur as the installation and for someone anal like myself or CJ's pretend contractor boyfriends, this would send my OCD into overdrive. Why not mount the pole into a concete base? What about the metal part that actually touches the rail? !
Only people who are handy can reno-rgasm over this.

They did anchor it to a base. The same one that the post of the fence is in. Would make more sense to bolt or screw the top portion right to the fence post with a rubber spacer in between. This is just sloppy work. I highly doubt anybody will do any thing though.
A nicely cut piece of black PVC pipe would be okay. But this is a jagged ugly yellow piece.
Why hire trained professionals who actually know what they're doing? Or who actully DO this line of work for a living? Too expensive.
Bottom-line mentality denotes hiring partially-trained temps. Don't have to pay them as much---"SAVES MONEY!".
